Service Intervals
You should have your BMW serviced every 6,000 miles by a certified BMW technician. See the example below of a 6,000 mile service for the K1200LT.
| Change engine oil | |
| Check intake air cleaner, renew if necessary | |
| Check brake pads and discs, renew if necessary | |
| Check ABS sensor, adjust and clean as required | |
| Check front/rear brake fluid, top as needed | |
| Check clutch fluid levels, top as needed | |
| Check operation of electric side stand switch/angle | |
| Lubricate stand bearing and check movement | |
| Check Telelever, Paralever, wheel and swing-arm | |
| Check MoDiTeC fault memory | |
| Safety Operation Check (tires, lights, signals, horn,
clutch, gear shift, brakes, etc.) |

| Test ride and visual quality check. |
